Washington. It has been six months since the war between America and Iran started at the end of February. Even after an interim agreement and several rounds of talks, tension remains between the two countries. Amid ongoing speculations about when the war between the two countries will end, Mohammad Reza Naqdi, the top general of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that Tehran can drag the war till the end of the term of American President Donald Trump i.e. till January 20, 2029. This statement of cash is being considered as a response to the threat that Trump will have to pay the price.

Nakdi said in an interview that we have to create such a situation that the enemy does not dare to attack us and we can remain safe. One way is to drag out this war until the next term of the President begins and inflict heavy losses on the enemy.

Efforts for peace in Gaza amid war in Iran, Trump's son-in-law to visit

Meanwhile, work is also going on on plans to end the conflict in Gaza. President Donald Trump's son-in-law and negotiator Jared Kushner will visit West Asia next week to take the plans forward. A deal recently announced by the Trump administration has stalled due to Israeli opposition. A Peace Board official said Kushner, Board High Representative Nikolay Mladenov and Executive Board member Tony Blair will arrive in Israel on Sunday. The group will then go to Cairo, where meetings of the Palestinian group that takes control of Gaza are going on. The official said that these meetings will show the determination of Trump and the Board of Peace to bring peace to Gaza. Israel has rejected the recent agreement announced by Trump. This agreement included the disarmament of Hamas and Israel's withdrawal of troops from the Palestinian territories. Although Hamas accepted the plan to give up its weapons, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would not withdraw until Hamas was completely disarmed. The agreement was considered a potential breakthrough in ending the Gaza war. This was based on an October ceasefire, which led to the release of hostages.

America lost 45 Reaper drones in war with Iran, loss of 1.3 billion dollars

Different claims have emerged in many reports on the extent of damage caused by the war that has been going on for more than five months. The US lost at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper surveillance and strike drones in the war with Iran, a report in The Washington Post quoted officials as saying. This represents about 25 percent of the US military fleet, costing taxpayers more than $1.3 billion. A US official said that not all drones were shot down, some crashed due to communication link failure.

India will start receiving MQ-9 Reaper drones in 2029

The report also mentions that India has signed an agreement to purchase 31 MQ-9 Reaper drones from the US in 2024, whose delivery will begin in 2029. America included this drone in the army in 2007. It has played an important role in counter-terrorism operations in West Asia and other conflict areas. There were approximately 185 Reapers in the US military fleet before the conflict. In May, Lieutenant General David Tabor told the Senate that the number of remaining drones was down to about 135. He expressed concern over the losses and the need to replenish the fleet rapidly.
