Mitchell Starc creates history: The Test series between Australia and Bangladesh has started. Mitchell Starc made a big world record in Test cricket as soon as he dismissed Saadaman Islam. He has become the left arm bowler with the highest wicket taker in Test cricket. The special thing was that Starc achieved this feat on 13 August i.e. International Left Handers Day, which made his record even more special.
Australia’s batting was a flop, the team was limited to only 198 runs.

Rangana left Herath behind and became number-1
With the wicket of Saadaman Islam, Mitchell Starc became the left-arm bowler with the highest wicket taker in Test cricket. He left behind Sri Lanka’s legendary spinner Rangana Herath. Starc now has 434 Test wickets to his name, while Pakistan’s Wasim Akram had taken 414 wickets in his Test career. This achievement achieved on International Left Handers Day was very special for Starc.
Equaled Kapil Dev’s record also
With this wicket, Mitchell Starc has equaled India’s great all-rounder Kapil Dev in the list of bowlers taking the most wickets in Test cricket. Kapil Dev has 434 wickets in his name in Test cricket. Now Starc has a chance to leave him behind and by taking one more wicket, he will overtake Kapil Dev in terms of wickets in Test cricket.
