Dindigul Dragons almost answered this question, but rain stopped it. In the match against Salem Spartans, Dindigul scored 239 runs in just 15 overs.

Dragons were the hosts on Friday evening in the TNPL 2026 season being played in Dindigul. Due to rain, this match could not start on time and due to this the match was decided for only 15-15 overs instead of 20. Now 5 overs were reduced so there were less hopes of scoring more runs. But Dindigul Dragons batsmen proved everyone wrong and presented a destructive batting display.

Dindigul’s big score on the strength of captain

The team’s openers started it off and scored 70 runs in just 4.4 overs. But suddenly 3 wickets fell till 89 runs. After this, captain Baba Inderjeet started taking notice of the bowlers of Salem Spartans and hit sixes. He completed his half-century in just 18 balls and returned unbeaten after scoring 73 runs in 25 balls. Inderjeet hit 8 sixes and 3 fours in his innings. In this way, Dindigul scored 239 runs in 15 overs, which is the second highest score in the league. Now if this match had been of full 20 overs then perhaps this team would have scored 300 runs.

Salem’s batting could not show its strength

But Salem Spartans’ batting was completely opposite to this. Salem captain S Abhishek also tried to give a strong reply by scoring 38 runs in 18 balls but apart from him, other batsmen could not do anything special. Anyway, scoring 240 runs in 15 overs was not an easy task because this score was made only once in the history of TNPL, that too in 20 overs. Ultimately, Spartans could reach only 158 runs in 15 overs and lost the match by 81 runs.
