Erling Haaland has even more silverware to make room for on his mantelpiece after being presented with the awards.
Erling Haaland has spent his remarkable career breaking records — and now that has been formally recognised.
The Manchester City striker is now the holder of four Guinness World Records certificates after being honoured for his achievements for both club and country.
Haaland has scored heavily everywhere he has played and currently has 162 goals in 198 appearances for City. He is also Norway's all-time leading scorer, with 62 goals in just 55 matches.
Haaland's extensive list of individual honours includes three Premier League Golden Boots in four seasons, the European Golden Shoe in 2022/23, and six consecutive Norwegian Footballer of the Year awards.
The 26-year-old's goals have helped City win six major trophies since he joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022, including the Treble in 2022/23. He also scored seven times in only five matches at World Cup 2026 to help Norway reach the quarter-finals.
Haaland has now collected four more awards after receiving the Guinness World Records certificates at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the new season.
His first honour was for the most goals scored in a Champions League match, after he netted five times in a 7-0 demolition of RB Leipzig in the last 16 in March 2023.
Haaland shares that record with Lionel Messi, who scored five in Barcelona's 7-1 rout of Bayer Leverkusen in March 2012, and Shakhtar Donetsk's Luiz Adriano, who matched the feat in a 7-0 win over BATE Borisov in October 2014.
The forward's next award recognised his international form, as he received a certificate for scoring the most goals in the Nations League.
His total of 19 is four more than the next highest scorers — Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo and Serbia forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Haaland was also given a certificate for the most goals in a Premier League season, having scored 36 in his debut campaign in 2022/23. That took him past the previous shared record of Andy Cole and Alan Shearer across 42 matches in 1993/94, when both men scored 34 goals for Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers respectively.
The Manchester City star's final record was for becoming the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals. His goal against Fulham last December brought up the landmark in just 111 games, beating Shearer's record by 13 matches.
Haaland, who appears on the cover of the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, is preparing to start what he hopes will be another record-breaking season on Sunday, when City take on Arsenal in the Community Shield.
