Tezzbuzz Desk- Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August. In his speech, PM Modi made big announcements regarding many important areas like youth, education, technology, sports, civil defense and semiconductor. He also put forward a roadmap to strengthen India in terms of new technology and modern capabilities in the coming years.

PM Modi announced a big initiative to Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI for the youth. He said that the government aims to provide training in AI skills to 1 crore youth of the country in the next one year. It aims to prepare the youth for future technological needs and further strengthen India's capability in the field of AI.

The Prime Minister also announced major relief to the students preparing for competitive examinations. He said that free online coaching will be provided to the youth for preparation of various examinations.

According to PM Modi, the expense of expensive coaching puts a huge financial burden on poor and middle class families. The government will create a comprehensive network of free online coaching by linking together digital resources, better teachers and digital public infrastructure. This is expected to help families save thousands of crores of rupees.

Modern civil defense network will be ready

PM Modi also announced to modernize the country's civil defense system. He said that a strong civil defense network will be created to deal with the changing circumstances and modern challenges.

Under this, civil defense volunteers will be connected with modern technology and systems, so that common people can be better protected in case of disaster or other crisis.

Sports talent of children aged between 5 to 15 years will be identified

In the field of sports, the Prime Minister talked about starting a nationwide talent search campaign for children aged 5 to 15 years. Through this, hidden sports talents from different parts of the country will be discovered and efforts will be made to make them international level players by giving them special training.

PM Modi said that India is a strong contender to host the 2036 Olympics. He also said that India's aim is to increase participation in as many Olympic events as possible.

Semiconductor manufacturing will get further expansion

The Prime Minister also mentioned India's growing potential in the semiconductor sector. He said that the role of chips is very important in the modern economy. Semiconductors are needed in almost every modern sector, from electronics to medical equipment and transportation.

PM Modi said that three major semiconductor plants have been established in the country and production for export has also started. He said that work will also progress towards operating 5 to 8 additional semiconductor plants in the country in the next 7 to 8 years.

Through these announcements, the Prime Minister emphasized on connecting the youth with new technology, making education more accessible, bringing forward sports talent and making India self-reliant in strategic technical areas.
