Wife recently withdrew divorce petition

Earlier this year, Vijay's wife Sangeeta Swarnalingam had filed a petition for divorce in a family court in Tamil Nadu after more than 25 years of marriage. At that time, in her divorce petition, Sangeeta had made serious allegations against Vijay of having an affair with another woman.

According to the petition, Sangeeta came to know about this relationship in 2021, after which they decided to legally separate. However, Sangeeta suddenly withdrew her divorce petition filed in the family court of Chengalpattu last week. The court accepted the petition and closed the case and also gave them the liberty to file a fresh petition if needed in future.
