‘Vishwanath And Sons’ OTT Deal Sparks Debate

There has been a claim that the OTT rights of Vishwanath and Sons were sold for Rs 81 crore.
The figure is not rounded, making it sound specific and significant. However, the claim has triggered industry discussion.
There is no doubt that the film looked lavish, with spectacular visuals, richness in every frame, and impressive artwork.
With Suriya in lead role, its scale and presentation have created curiosity, making the reported valuation interesting.
But sources also suggest that Fauzi, starring Prabhas, was sold for around Rs 80 crore (Only South languages). Fauzi is a period film being made on a very high budget, with a pan-India release and Prabhas as its star.
So, if Fauzi and Vishwanath and Sons were both sold for almost the same price, can the figures really be believed? That is now a talking point, given the difference in scale, budget, and star power.
If the Rs 81 crore figure for Vishwanath and Sons is true, then the film has secured a fantastic OTT deal. Either way, the comparison with Fauzi has made the number a subject of discussion.
