A national level talent hunt for children aged 5 to 15 will be launched across the country in view of the 2036 Olympics. Under this campaign, arrangements will be made to identify talented players from villages and schools at an early age and give them world-class training.

Prime Minister Modi said that if India has to perform strongly in the 2036 Olympics, it is necessary to find sports talents from a very young age. For this, the government will go village-to-village and school-to-school to identify children who have the potential to become future international players.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the government’s **Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS)** in his address. He said that the scheme has played an important role in preparing talented players for international competitions.

Sports got a boost from Khelo India

PM Modi mentioned Khelo India Games, University Games, Beach Games and Winter Games and said that India is now increasing its capacity in various sports.
