Konrad Laimer suffered an injury during FC Bayern’s friendly against his former club, RB Leipzig. The Austria international had to be taken off within the opening 10 minutes, and needed assistance as he made his way off the pitch.
Sacha Boey, who is among the players Bayern are looking to move on this summer, replaced him. At the same time, João Palhinha was not included in the matchday squad as speculation over a possible Premier League move continues, even after Aston Villa decided against signing him.
Josip Stanišić was also missing from today’s game because of illness. At half-time in the Telekom Cup fixture, Luis Diaz’s trademark finish was the only thing separating the two sides.
