Tezzbuzz Desk – The competition at the box office has become very interesting at this time. Hollywood superhero film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' made huge money in India after its release and created a strong hold among the audience. But now with the entry of new films in theatres, the pace of the film's collection seems to be getting affected.

According to reports, the film had earned around Rs 447.30 crore nett in India in 16 days of its release, while its gross collection had reached around Rs 534.76 crore. However, the film saw a big decline in its daily earnings on the third Friday.

Audience's attention divided by new films

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' received tremendous support from the audience in the initial days. The film's earnings remained excellent for several days and it set a new benchmark for Hollywood films in India.

But now with the arrival of new films from South and Bollywood in theatres, the options for the audience have increased. Its direct impact is visible on the show and collection of 'Spider-Man'. There was a sudden decline in the film's earnings on the third Friday.

However, for such a big film, low collection in the third week in itself cannot be considered a major cause for concern. The film has already done great business in two weeks.

Will the film reach Rs 600 crore?

Now the biggest question is whether 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' will be able to cross the Rs 600 crore mark in India.

The film may still get a few more days in theaters, but new releases and changes in the number of screens may make its path difficult. If the film picks up pace once again in the weekend, then there can be hopes of reaching close to Rs 600 crores.

At the same time, considering the current decline, achieving this figure will not be easy.

'Spider-Man' is visible all over the world

Apart from India, this Tom Holland starrer film has performed tremendously all over the world. In the initial phase of its release, the film very quickly crossed the one billion dollar mark at the global box office. According to reports, the film had earned around $1.67 billion worldwide after two weekends.

In such a situation, it is clear that even though the pace of the film has slowed down in India, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' continues to dominate the global market. Now it will be interesting to see how much the film earns in the third weekend and whether it succeeds in crossing the Rs 600 crore mark at the Indian box office.
