On Saturday, 15.08.2026, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day of the country, the flag was hoisted by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma in a dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere at the Camp Office and Reserve Police Line. First of all, the flag was hoisted by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra in the camp office with the singing of the national anthem and the national flag and the national flag was saluted. On this occasion, sweets were distributed to the police officers/employees present with good wishes and congratulations on Independence Day.
After this, in the Independence Day function organized by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra at Reserve Police Line, Sonbhadra, the flag was hoisted with the singing of the national anthem and the national flag and the tricolor salute was given. Thereafter, all the police officers/employees present were administered the oath of loyalty, integrity and discharge of their duties towards the nation and the Constitution.

On this occasion, Rishabh Runwal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Operation), Anil Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Bhuvaneshwar Singh, Area Officer Police Office, Muhammad Nadeem, Counter Inspector Sonbhadra and other police officers and employees were present. After the flag hoisting, Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra, while addressing the police officers/employees present, said that the police force is a disciplined and responsible force, on whose shoulders It is an important responsibility to maintain law and order in the society, public safety and public service.

During the ceremony, Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra honored the police officer in-charge Inspector Kon Akhilesh Kumar Mishra and other employees who did commendable and excellent work by giving them medals and citations given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna, Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, the honored policemen were encouraged and praised for their dutiful and commendable work. According to the information received, Inspector in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, who did excellent work, was honored with a certificate for the eighth time. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the police team of Kon police station regarding this achievement.
After that, saplings were planted by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra and other officers. In the end, Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra extended warm wishes and congratulations to the entire Sonbhadra police family and the people of the district along with the countrymen on the 80th Independence Day and sweets were distributed to all the police officers/employees present. On this auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Sonbhadra Police reiterated its commitment towards the unity, integrity, security of the nation and service to the common people.
