The first glimpse of this new Gorkha Edition has surfaced via spy shots, and units have already started reaching dealerships.

So, what has changed in this new edition, and what details have emerged regarding its launch? The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition will feature a distinctive Military Green look and Gorkha-inspired graphics. Its price will be revealed on the launch day, and deliveries are expected to commence shortly thereafter.

Launch on August 18

Royal Enfield is set to launch the new Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India on August 18, 2026. Ahead of the launch, the first units have begun arriving at dealer yards, indicating that the company is preparing to start deliveries immediately after the launch. Interestingly, this special edition has no major design changes; in terms of body panels, cycle parts, and equipment, it remains identical to the standard Classic 350.

military green

The most prominent visual feature of this new edition is its light military green—or olive green—paint finish, a shade often associated with army vehicles. Although Royal Enfield has not yet officially revealed the name of this colour, the shade is considered to be directly linked to the Gorkha Regiment, lending the bike a distinct military aesthetic.

In addition to the colour, the company has incorporated special Gorkha Edition graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. The side panel features a 'crossed khukri' motif along with Gorkha Edition branding, while a dedicated Gorkha Edition sticker has been applied to the fuel tank. Apart from these changes, the bike looks just like the standard Classic 350 in every other respect.

Gorkha Regiment

This new edition pays tribute to the Gorkha Regiments, among the Indian Army's most distinguished infantry units. The crossed khukri emblem visible on the side panel represents the traditional curved knife associated with Gorkha soldiers. Their famous battle cry is “Aayo Gorkhali,” which translates to “The Gorkhas have arrived.” This small detail highlights the meticulous care Royal Enfield has taken in designing this edition.

Features

Spy shots confirm that the Gorkha Edition retains the familiar semi-digital instrument cluster, featuring an analogue speedometer and an LCD. It comes equipped with wire-spoke wheels, a split-seat setup for the rider and pillion, round mirrors, a chrome exhaust, a chrome headlamp bezel, and the signature Classic 350 bodywork. However, it does not feature the Tripper navigation pod.

Engine

The familiar 349cc single-cylinder powers the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, air/oil-cooled J-series engine, which produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension and braking hardware remain unchanged, featuring telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, disc brakes at both ends, and dual-channel ABS.
