Kaia Gerber made a shocking admission about undergoing an exorcism after her famous mother, Cindy Crawford, thought she might be possessed.
In a conversation with The Mitch Churi Chat Show while promoting Ryan Murphy’s The Shardspublished on Friday, August 14, the 24-year-old American model and actress reflected on her long-standing connection to the supernatural and her unusual encounters with otherworldly beings.
Cindy took precautions during her daughter’s American Horror Story: Double Feature shoot, giving her holy water over fears she could become possessed.
“I was told I was possessed as a child,” Kaia said, noting that she has been “haunted” her whole life.
She then made the startling revelation that she had undergone an exorcism.
“Do you know how they did the exorcism? They played a didgeridoo all over me, that’s how they did the exorcism. That actually did happen. I’ve never talked about it, but that actually did happen,” the Bottoms star revealed.
Kaia’s surprising revelation came shortly after she discussed how comparisons to her famous mother had affected her mental well-being.
“We’re clearly in one of those cycles right now where people are very, very, very thin. As someone who’s been thin most of my life, I’ve always been compared against my mom — like, ‘What’s wrong with Kaia?’” she told Vogue during a cover interview for its September 2026 issue.
The Shell actress went on to reveal that she had felt “so jealous” of her mother’s body.
“I would have loved to be born with boobs and a butt. People have always commented on my body, which is hard because I’m not always ready to comment on my own body, you know?” she noted.
