Local residents allege that due to technical flaws and lack of proper maintenance in the sewer system installed by the Water Board, the situation of sewer overflow persists every day. Dirty sewer water is still accumulated in the bathrooms and other parts of many houses, due to which it has become difficult for people to live a normal life and health concerns are also increasing.
In this regard, Ranbir Singh Solanki, National President of Rashtriya Yuva Chetna Manch and Chairman of Federation of South and West District Welfare Forum, said that complaints are being made continuously to the concerned authorities for the last several years regarding the sewer problem in Madhu Vihar, but a permanent solution has not been found yet.
Solanki said that the situation in B-Block is particularly serious. The spot inspection of B-67 and B-68 by the Head of RWA revealed the real situation where the local residents are facing extremely difficult conditions due to dirty sewer water and waterlogging.
He said that the work of deep sewer system proposed by the Jal Board for a permanent solution to the sewer problem has also been pending for a long time. Due to this, the problem is becoming increasingly serious and anger among the local people is increasing.
Solanki has demanded from the concerned Executive Officer of Delhi Jal Board and the Chief Minister of Delhi that the deficiencies in Madhu Vihar's sewer system should be immediately rectified by technical inspection and investigation and the work of the deep sewer system should be completed soon, so that the residents of the area can get permanent relief from the problem of dirty sewer water and waterlogging.
