UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Agriculture) under the Directorate of Agriculture.

UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026: A new recruitment update has been released for youths preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. If you have appeared for PET-2025 and hold a diploma in Agricultural Engineering, this recruitment drive could be significant for you. The UPSSSC has announced the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Agriculture) under the Directorate of Agriculture. A total of 134 posts will be filled through this recruitment. The application process begins on September 17, 2026, and candidates can submit their forms until October 7, 2026. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of the eligibility criteria, age limit, exam pattern, and important dates before the application process starts.

Recruitment for 134 posts

According to the notification issued by UPSSSC, recruitment will be conducted for a total of 134 Junior Engineer (Agriculture) posts. Of these, 54 posts are reserved for the General category, 23 for SC, 1 for ST, 43 for OBC, and 13 for EWS. The recruitment notification was issued on August 14, 2026. Online applications will commence on September 17, while the deadline for submitting applications and fees is October 7, 2026. The last date for making corrections to the application is October 14, 2026.

Mandatory PET-2025 participation

Only those candidates who have appeared for the UPSSSC PET-2025 and possess a valid scorecard will be eligible to apply for the main examination of this recruitment. Candidates who secured a zero or negative score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their normalized scores from PET-2025. The Commission will call approximately 15 times the number of advertised posts—categorized by reservation category—for the Main Examination.

What are the educational qualifications?

Applicants must have passed the High School examination or an equivalent exam. Additionally, a 3-year diploma in Agricultural Engineering is required. This diploma must be from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent government-recognized institution, and must be approved by the AICTE. Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age. Age will be calculated as of July 1st of the recruitment year. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with the rules.

How will the Main Examination be conducted?

The Main Examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The paper will include 65 questions on subjects related to Agricultural Engineering, 15 questions on Computer and Information Technology, and 20 questions on general knowledge regarding Uttar Pradesh. Candidates will be allotted 2 hours for the exam. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

What is the application fee?

Candidates from all categories must pay a processing fee of ₹25 at the time of the initial online application. A separate fee for the Main Examination will be charged to candidates who are shortlisted for it.

How to apply

Candidates can log in to the official UPSSSC website using their PET-2025 registration number and an OTP received on their registered mobile number or email. Subsequently, they must fill in the required details in the application form and pay the ₹25 processing fee online. After submitting the form, candidates should take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.
