Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka has announced that he will visit the schools of Rajasthan and show the conditions there. Shortly after his announcement, the Rajasthan government issued a circular citing the confidentiality of schools and banned the entry of outsiders into the school campus on Sunday.

Ashutosh Ranka had said, 'Many schools of Rajasthan are in bad condition. Complaints of irregularities have been received in Ajmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Kota, Barmer and Hanumangarh. The administration at these places is not agreeing to the demand to repair the schools.

Ashutosh Ranka said, 'Under CJP's campaign to fix schools, we will visit all these places in the next few days. We will tell people that if there is a dilapidated school in their city or village and the administration is not listening to them, then people should tag them and the organization, also tag the state education department and School Education Minister Madan Dilawar.

What order has the Rajasthan government issued?

The Secondary Education Department of Rajasthan Government issued a circular imposing strict restrictions on the entry of outsiders in government schools. The department cited the privacy and safety of children. It was said in the circular that no outsider will be able to enter the school premises without the permission of the Principal.

Where will entry of outsiders be banned?

There is a ban on going to places like classroom, laboratory, library, play ground or toilet without being accompanied by a school official. Photographs, videos, audio recordings or live streaming of students, teachers or school activities will not be allowed without written permission.

'If I took a photo or video…'

It is clearly stated in the circular that if anyone enters without permission, tries to take photos-videos or disturbs the functioning of the school, the Principal will immediately inform the local police and District Education Officer. If necessary, action can also be taken under the Indian Justice Code, POCSO Act and other laws.

Ashutosh Ranka had organized a dharna with students in a school in Alwar. The administration had accepted the demands of the students. Ashutosh Ranka has said on the circular that the police should register an FIR against him, but he will definitely visit the schools. If the supporters of Cockroach Janata Party go to schools and show the real situation, then there can be a movement across the state.

What has Congress said?

Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara alleged that the BJP government is imposing these restrictions to hide the plight of schools. He said that schools belong to the public and such decisions which reduce transparency are wrong.
