The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the revised schedule for the first round of NEET UG Counselling 2026. According to the new schedule, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 19, 2026. Candidates will be able to view their results by visiting the official website, mcc.nic.in. The MCC has clarified that candidates can lock their choices until 6:00 PM on August 17, 2026. Students who have not yet selected their preferred medical colleges and courses must complete this process within the stipulated time.

It is worth noting that the NEET UG 2026 counselling process began on August 5, 2026. To participate in the counselling, candidates are required to register online and pay the prescribed fee. According to the MCC, only those candidates who have paid the fee on time will be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.

**How ​​to Fill and Lock Choices?**
During counselling, candidates must select their preferred medical colleges and courses. After filling in all the options, it is mandatory to save and lock them. Failure to lock choices within the designated timeframe could lead to complications.
