Under the BaaS model, the entry-level (cheapest) variant of the Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ, called “ONE”, is priced at ₹11.45 lakh. This price does not include batteries; Instead, the battery is rented and the user pays ₹3.75 per kilometer based on usage. If you want to buy the complete vehicle including the battery, then the price of the same “ONE” variant increases to ₹ 19.45 lakh (which has a 59 kWh battery). Therefore, relying only on the opening price may be misleading; The additional cost of the battery later must also be taken into account.

**How ​​much will it cost to drive daily?**

While deciding the BaaS pricing, Mahindra considered an average daily usage of 60 km for each customer and a battery financing period of eight years. If you drive 60 km daily at ₹3.75 per km, the monthly lease cost of the battery will be around ₹6,750. As a result, if your driving distance increases, this monthly expense will also increase.

If you are on a tight budget and want to experience electric vehicles with a low initial investment, the starting price of ₹11.45 lakh for the BaaS model may seem very attractive. However, if you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time and drive it heavily on a daily basis, purchasing a complete vehicle including battery for ₹19.45 lakh may be a better option as there is no separate monthly rental requirement.
