Somy Ali: Bollywood actor Govinda is in the news these days regarding his ongoing dispute with wife Sunita Ahuja. Amidst Sunita’s comments about Govinda and actress Komal, actress Somi Ali has now openly come out in support of Govinda. He has defended the actor by sharing a long post on social media.

Called Govinda a great artist
While sharing her old pictures with Govinda, Somi Ali said that she knows him both personally and professionally. For this reason he considered it necessary to express his opinion on this controversy. He fondly called Govinda as ‘Chichi’ and described him as one of the best actors of the Hindi film industry. Somi said that when she worked in the film industry, Govinda was one of the most humble actors.

Spoke at work with a younger actress
Somi Ali also supported Govinda for working with a younger actress. He said that the age of an actor or the age of the actress working with him does not determine his talent. Somi wrote that talent has no expiry date. According to him, if an artist is getting a chance to work after a long time, then he should be encouraged instead of being embarrassed for it.

What matters is talent, not age.
Somi said that an actor is not identified by his age, but by his talent, professional attitude and willingness to keep working. If it has become difficult for an artist to get work in the industry and still he gets a chance, then it should be a matter of happiness. He said that every artist should get a chance to prove himself. It is not right to use someone’s age against him. According to Somi, the biggest quality of an artist is not to accept defeat. He said that an artist who continuously strives for his passion and career should be respected.

Sunita had targeted Govinda
Actually, this whole controversy started during the promotion of Govinda’s upcoming film. Sunita Ahuja had publicly commented on Govinda after he was seen with actress Komal. Sunita has already spoken about the affair between Govinda and Komal. He even called Govinda Komal’s ‘sugar daddy’. Also, questions were raised on 62 year old Govinda hanging out with an underage woman. He also commented on Komal’s clothes.
