On the third Monday of Saban, there was a huge gathering of devotees in the main temples of Bihar and Jharkhand. It is reported that there was a queue of about 10 kilometers long among the crowd at Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. The devotees who came from far away places for the darshan of Baba Baidyanath and for the water anointment, stood in line hour after hour, waiting for their turn. On the occasion of Monday of Saban, there are reports of gathering of a large number of devotees in various major temples of the country.
Along with Baba Baidyanath Dham, special preparations have been made on the occasion of the third Monday at the main Shivdhaams of Bihar. It is reported that devotees have started standing in line at Harigiri Dham since night. On the other hand, preparations are being made for a special religious event for the devotees at the famous Baba Garibnath Temple of Mujhaffarpur. There is interest among the fans regarding the preparations for organizing rain from helicopter here.
On the occasion of third Monday, 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Bol Bam' sounds are being heard in the temples since morning. Groups of Kabhariyas are continuously moving towards the temples. Many devotees have been standing in line outside the temple since night, so that they can get the opportunity of Jal Abhishek and darshan in the morning.
A large number of devotees gather at Baba Baidyanath Dham of Deoghar every Monday in the month of Saban. Due to increased crowd on the third Monday, the line extended to several kilometers. Devotees have to walk a long distance to reach the temple. Women, elderly, youth and children can also be seen in the line.
It is not easy for the fans to wait in such a long line. Despite this there is enthusiasm among them. Many fans are coming forward to give voice. Efforts are being made to provide water and other necessary facilities through volunteers and service camps on the way.
There is special enthusiasm in the green forests of Bihar on the occasion of the third Monday. It is reported that devotees have been lining up here since night. The water consecration of Lord Shiva on Monday of Saban is considered to have special significance. This is why the number of devotees increases every year in the main temples.
Special preparations have also been made at Baba Garibnath Dham of Muzaffarpur on the occasion of third Monday. Various arrangements are being made considering the crowd of devotees in the surrounding areas of the temple. Earlier on the second Monday also, a large number of pilgrims and devotees had reached Baba Garibnath Dham and rain was organized from the helicopter.
One of the most important events of Monday of Sawan is the journey from Prashlādghat to Garibnath Dham of Muzaffarpur with Ganga water. The distance from Prashaladghat to Garibnath Dham is said to be about 70 kilometers and a large number of pilgrims cross this route on foot. On the second Monday, rain was showered on the Kavariyas from the helicopter at Prasad Ghat also.
There is interest among the devotees regarding the rain in Garibnath temple on the third Monday also. The scene of flower shower from the helicopter became the center of attraction for the fans. As a result of such arrangements, the gathering and enthusiasm of the devotees at the temple increased.
Controlling the crowd in temples on Monday of Saban became a big challenge for the administration. Amidst the huge number of devotees traveling, special attention has to be paid to queuing, security, drinking water, medical services and traffic control.
Considering the situation of 10 km long queue at Baba Baidyanath Dham, devotees need to be patient. Senior citizens and children may face special problems due to standing in queues for a long time. In such a situation, it becomes important to provide continuous facilities from the administration and voluntary organizations.
Security arrangements are also strengthened around the temples. To avoid any kind of disorder or confusion among the crowd, surveillance is maintained by the administration. With the help of CCTV and police force, the movements of the crowd can be monitored.
Due to the third Monday, more crowd is seen on the roads than on normal days. The group of Kabhariyas is moving forward on foot. Local residents have established service centers for them at various places. There are shops offering facilities like fruits, water and syrup on the way.
Monday of Saban becomes a big occasion not only for religious faith but also for social participation. A large number of people joined the service of Kabhariyas. Local residents took their own initiative to provide water, food and medical aid.
On the occasion of third Monday, special pujas and offerings are being made in various Shiv Mandirs of Bihar. Temples are decorated with flowers and lights. Crowds of devotees started reaching the temple since morning.
It is expected that the interest among the devotees will increase further due to events like rain at Baba Garibnath Dham. Earlier also, enthusiasm was seen among Kabhariya and the fans during the showering of flowers from the helicopter.
Religious engagement in Saban increased with the third Monday. From Baba Baidyanath Dham to Garibnath Dham and हरिगीरीधाम, a large presence of devotees is seen. Many devotees after traveling a long distance reach the temple and perform Jal Abhishek of Lord Shiva.
In view of the huge crowd of devotees, an appeal is being made to follow the instructions of the administration and maintain the queue. Along with avoiding jostling in the crowd, importance is being given to taking special care of children and the elderly.
