New Delhi, Aug 17: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in association with the Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank), organised a webinar on “Government of India’s Export Promotion Mission (EPM): Opportunities for Exporters and MSMEs” on 17 August 2026.
The webinar focused on creating awareness among exporters and MSMEs about the opportunities and financial support available under EPM, including export finance, Trade Assistance Programme (TAP), credit assistance for e-commerce exporters, support for emerging export opportunities, and the Interest Equalisation Scheme on Pre- and Post-Shipment Rupee Export Credit.
In her welcome address, Ms Babeeta Sharma, Director, PHDCCI, highlighted the importance of strengthening India’s export ecosystem and ensuring easier access to finance and market opportunities for MSMEs. She emphasised that initiatives such as EPM can play an important role in enhancing the global competitiveness of Indian businesses.
Ms Trupti Mhatre, General Manager, Loan Operations and Monitoring Group II, EXIM Bank, delivered the keynote address and provided valuable insights into the financing solutions and support mechanisms available to exporters and MSMEs under EPM.
She also highlighted the importance of appropriate export financing, risk management and institutional support in helping Indian businesses explore new markets and expand their global footprint.
The keynote was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where participants raised practical queries on eligibility, financing requirements, collateral, working capital, e-commerce exports, emerging markets and payment risks.
In her closing remarks and vote of thanks, Ms Babeeta Sharma expressed appreciation to Ms Trupti Mhatre for her valuable insights and to all participants for their active engagement.
She reiterated PHDCCI’s commitment to facilitating awareness of government initiatives and improving industry access to finance and export opportunities.
Mr Sanjay Ahuja, Joint Secretary, PHDCCI, coordinated the webinar and ensured its smooth conduct and effective engagement with participants.
The webinar concluded with a positive response from participants and provided exporters and MSMEs with practical insights into leveraging the opportunities and support available under the Government of India’s Export Promotion Mission.
