Borussia Dortmund have officially completed the signing of Giannis Konstantelias from Greek club PAOK, the Bundesliga side announced.
The attacking midfielder underwent his medical last Sunday, after the two clubs had already reached full agreement on the transfer.
The 23-year-old Greece international has signed a contract running until 2030. Dortmund will pay a guaranteed fee of €26 million, with a further €6 million in add-ons. The deal is realistically expected to be worth closer to €30 million overall and also contains a 15% sell-on clause.
The speed with which Dortmund wrapped up the move has been notable. It was reported only last week that the club had revived their interest in Konstantelias.
After completing his move to BVB, Konstantelias spoke of his happiness, saying: “I am really looking forward to playing for Borussia Dortmund in the future. BVB is a great club and I will give everything to be successful here.”
