Ghavan is made using rice flour in every home in Konkan. So on fasting days you can make ghavan using the above rice. This dish goes well with coconut chutney or tea. Materials:

  • Above rice
  • Kiss of coconut
  • Green chillies
  • cumin
  • salt
  • Oil

Action:

  • First of all, to make varar rice ghana, take the cleaned varar rice in a large bowl, wash it with water and keep the rice soaked in two to 3 glasses of water.
  • For 5 to 6 hours the rice will be soaked properly. Make a fine paste by mixing top rice, green chillies, wet coconut flakes and cumin seeds in a mixer bowl.
  • Take the prepared paste in a big bowl and mix water if needed and add salt to taste and keep it for some time.
  • Heat a non-stick pan with oil. Pour the prepared mixture round on the heated pan and cook well on both sides.
  • Fasting net bhajan made in simple method is ready. This dish goes well with coconut chutney.
