An MCD sanitation worker was murdered while on duty in Kalyanpuri area of the capital Delhi on Sunday, August 16. It is alleged that the accused stabbed the sanitation worker several times with a knife, due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, an atmosphere of tension was created in the area. Now political rhetoric has also started regarding the matter. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised questions regarding law and order while targeting the BJP government of Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj has alleged that the police is pressurizing the family members of the deceased sanitation worker to perform the cremation soon.
While sharing the post on social media, Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that thousands of sanitation workers have been sitting on strike for the last 2 days after the murder of the sanitation worker. The protesters are demanding a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family. The AAP leader alleged that the police forcibly brought the body of the deceased from the hospital to his home and the family is being pressurized to perform the cremation. He claimed that the police were threatening the family that the last rites of the deceased should be performed immediately. However, these allegations have been made by the Aam Aadmi Party leader. These allegations have not yet been independently confirmed. The situation will become more clear after the official response in this regard comes from the police or administration. It has also been claimed that a large number of sanitation workers demonstrated after the murder of the sanitation worker. The main demand of the protesters is to give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased.
Claim to take away MLA Kuldeep Kumar
Aam Aadmi Party has made another serious allegation against Delhi Police in the case of murder of MCD sanitation worker in Kalyanpuri. AAP's Delhi state president Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that party MLA Kuldeep Kumar was taken away by the police from his residence in the morning. Saurabh Bhardwaj, while sharing the post on social media, claimed that about 20 policemen in plain clothes arrived at around 4 am in the morning and took Kuldeep Kumar with them. He alleged that the MLA has been taken to an unknown place.
Claim to raise voice in support of sanitation workers
According to Saurabh Bhardwaj, Kuldeep Kumar was raising the demand for compensation for the protesting employees and their families after the murder of the sanitation worker. He claimed that the MLA had also demanded a meeting of the deceased's family with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The AAP leader alleged that instead of talking to the protesters, the police took action to take away the MLA. He raised questions on the functioning of the government and the police and demanded that the MLA be brought forward immediately.

He said that there is no fear of law among the criminals and the people of the capital are feeling unsafe. AAP MLA said that the incident of stabbing of a sanitation worker while on duty in Kalyanpuri is very painful. He raised the question as to whose responsibility is there for law and order in the capital.

Police have arrested the accused Nihal in the case of murder of MCD sanitation worker in Kalyanpuri area of Delhi. According to the police, initial investigation has revealed personal rivalry behind the incident. According to the police, the accused had allegedly attacked the sanitation worker with a knife while on duty. A sanitation worker died in the attack. After the incident, the police arrested the accused and started investigating the case. Delhi Police is now investigating the entire reason behind the murder and other aspects to the incident. Police are trying to find out what was the dispute or enmity between the accused and the deceased.
