Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) now seems to be coming into action mode for the assembly elections to be held in 2027. On Tuesday, the very next day after announcing the team of National President Nitin Naveen, BJP has also announced the names of in-charges of three states. BJP has made Vinod Tawde in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, Satish Poonia for Punjab and Tarun Chugh for Gujarat.

A day before, these leaders have also been given a place in the team of BJP President Nitin Naveen. Vinod Tawde and Satish Poonia have been made National General Secretaries of BJP. At the same time, Tarun Chugh has been made in-charge of the national office. All these three leaders are Rajya Sabha MPs and have been working in the organization of BJP for a long time.

Where, who got the responsibility?

UP team:In UP, BJP has appointed Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary as the state president only a few months ago. Now Vinod Tawde will work with him as in-charge and Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel as co-in-charge.

Punjab team: In Punjab, BJP has made Kewal Singh Dhillon the state president. Now Satish Poonia has been made in-charge of Punjab.

Gujarat team: In Gujarat, BJP made Jagdish Vishwakarma the state president last year. Now Tarun Chugh has been made in-charge of Gujarat.

It is believed that BJP will contest with the same team in the upcoming assembly elections also.

How has been the performance of these three leaders?

Vinod Tawde: Rajya Sabha MP Vinod Tawde has been in-charge of Bihar (2022), Haryana and Chhattisgarh before being made in-charge of UP.

Tarun Chugh: Tarun Chugh, who has become a member of Rajya Sabha, has been looking after the work of the party in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab and Telangana.

Satish Poonia: Satish Poonia, who was the president of Rajasthan BJP, has also been in-charge of BJP in Haryana. His work was highly praised during the Bihar assembly elections and since then discussions had started that he might get a bigger role in the party.
