SUMMARY

NeoGeo has raised around $20 Mn in a Series A funding round co-led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital

The funding comes as policy reforms and growing demand across infrastructure, urban governance, and natural-resource management open up India’s geospatial sector to greater private participation

NeoGeo will use the capital to strengthen its product portfolio and R&D capabilities, expand into the Middle East and the Americas, and ramp up hiring

Geospatial technology startup NeoGeo has raised around $20 Mn (₹191 Cr) in a Series A funding round co-led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital.

Neev II is managed by SBI Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of the State Bank of India, while Aavishkaar Capital is the investment arm of the Aavishkaar Group.

NeoGeo plans to deploy the fresh capital to deepen its platform and product portfolio, invest in R&D and technical capabilities, and strengthen its team.

The Gurugram-based startup will also use the proceeds to expand into international markets, including the Middle East and the Americas.

“This round allows us to invest decisively in that conviction: scaling our platform business, deepening R&D, expanding into international markets, and hiring across engineering and delivery,” NeoGeo cofounder and CEO Sreeramam GV said.

Founded in 2019 by Sreeramam and Brahmam GVS, NeoGeo provides geospatial intelligence solutions to government and corporate clients across natural-resource management, disaster management, urban governance, utilities, infrastructure, and smart cities.

The startup operates across the geospatial value chain, acquiring data through satellite imagery, LiDAR, drones, and ground surveys, before processing and analysing it using AI and ML.

It has also developed industry-specific platforms such as OptiFleet for fleet and network optimisation, GeoBalance for natural resource management, UrbanVista for urban planning and smart-city visualisation, and InfraSync for infrastructure asset management.

NeoGeo claims to have executed more than 200 projects, mapped over 5 Lakh square kilometres, and managed more than 550 continuously operating reference system (CORS) stations.

It claims to have so far executed 200+ projects, mapped more than 5 Lakh sq km and manages more than 550 CORS (continuously operating reference stations). As per Tracxn, the startup last raised $1.5 Mn in its seed round back in 2024.

The fundraise comes as India looks to expand the role of geospatial data in governance, infrastructure development, disaster management, and climate-resilience planning.

The National Geospatial Policy, notified in 2022, seeks to encourage private-sector participation and establish geospatial data as a key component of India’s digital infrastructure.
