Samsung India has highlighted the growing strategic contribution of its research and development (R&D) centers in Noida and Bengaluru in the development of its Galaxy AI. Following the successful launch of the eighth-generation foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, the company explained that engineers in India are developing advanced AI experiences tailored to the needs of local customers, and this technology is now becoming an important part of Samsung's global innovation network.
A prime example of the Indian R&D team's contribution is the new 'Pay Now' feature in the 'Now Brief' on the new foldable smartphones. This feature, developed specifically for consumers in India, reminds users of upcoming bill payments and facilitates direct payments through Samsung Wallet.
