New claims about Liam Payne’s final hours have surfaced, according to a report from Radar Online. The account comes from two women who were reportedly with the former One Direction star shortly before his death.

The women, identified as witnesses who later gave statements to police, described Payne’s state during their time with him on the night of October 16. According to their account, he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and other substances.

The witnesses claimed that when it came time to settle payment, Payne asked them not to leave. He reportedly told them that money hadn’t brought him happiness, and allegedly damaged an expensive watch during the encounter.

According to their statements, Payne ordered drinks for the group and appeared to be in significant emotional distress throughout the evening. The women said he seemed to be searching for something to numb what he was feeling.

Their account paints a picture of a man who was visibly struggling in his final hours, despite the outward trappings of wealth and success that defined his public image for over a decade.

Payne died on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old at the time of his death.

The former “One Direction” member had built a massive global following since the band’s formation in 2010, going on to pursue a solo career after the group’s hiatus. His death sent shockwaves through the music industry and among fans worldwide, sparking an outpouring of tributes from collaborators, friends and fellow artists.

These latest witness accounts add another layer to the ongoing public interest in the circumstances surrounding his death, though much of what has been reported since continues to rely on secondhand claims rather than official findings.
