The Pelicans have waived Hunter DickinsonMichael Scotto reports for HoopsHype (via Twitter).
Dickinson re-signed on a two-way contract with New Orleans in July after playing on a two-way contract for them last season.
The 7’1″ second-year center played five games for the Pelicans last season, scoring 12 points and blocking two shots in 42 total minutes. He averaged 17.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 30.3 minutes per game over 44 appearances with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.
By waiving the 25-year-old two-time All-American, the Pelicans have opened up their third two-way roster spot. They previously signed Jaron Pierre Jr. and finalized a deal with rookie forward Malik He on Tuesday to fill their other two-way openings.
