Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse on Tuesday directed education officials to ensure strict quality and hygiene standards in school meals, uniforms and physical infrastructure, saying no compromise would be tolerated when it comes to student welfare.
Speaking at a state-level online review meeting on the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, free uniform scheme and school infrastructure, Bhuse said education officers must conduct strict inspections to ensure that quality facilities are actually available in schools.
Officials Asked To Conduct Regular School Inspections
He directed officials to give special attention to drinking water, toilets, repairs to school buildings, e-facilities, laboratories and playgrounds, stressing that quality education remained the top priority of the School Education Department.
