Students' agitation against rigging in JPSC-JSSC recruitment examinations ends, government gets 2 months to investigate

Jharkhand News: The students’ agitation that has been going on for several days against alleged rigging and irregularities in the JPSC-JSSC recruitment examinations in Jharkhand has ended for the time being. On Tuesday, JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum announced to end the movement. A day before this, late on Monday evening, Devendranath faction had also ended their agitation.

The students have now given two months time to the state government to complete a high-level and impartial investigation into the matter. The forum has made it clear that if the investigation is not completed within the stipulated period, then students will again reach Ranchi in large numbers. At that time the demand for CBI investigation will be the main issue of the movement.

Government has 2 months time

In the meeting of the core committee of JPSC-JSSC Reform Manch, it was decided to end the agitation for now. Students say that the government has taken many important steps regarding their demands, hence it should be given time to complete the investigation.

The students said that an impartial investigation into the matters to JPSC-JSSC should be completed within two months. If this does not happen, the platform will again unite the students and protest in the capital Ranchi.

Exams canceled after agitation

The students claimed that their movement had an impact on the government’s decisions. According to him, after the pressure of the movement, the government has canceled 22 recruitment examinations and investigation of many other examinations is also going on.

Students say that when the investigation into irregularities in the examination system has started, the government should be given an opportunity to complete it in a fair manner. For this reason the movement has been ended for the time being.

Devendranath group also ended the movement

Different groups were agitating regarding the JPSC-JSSC exam dispute. On Monday, Devendranath faction had announced to end the movement. After this, on Tuesday, JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum also ended its agitation.

The district administration had also appealed to the students involved in the movement to return to their homes. It was said by the administration that the students should vacate the protest site by Wednesday afternoon and return. Now after the movement is over, the process of vacating the protest site has started. At present the government has two months time. Now everyone’s eyes will be on the investigation and further action.
