Chhattisgarh :- With a resolve to make it cyber crime free, a special cyber security awareness program was successfully organized for the students and interns by the police officers at Government Dental College, Raipur today. This program was organized under the country's most unique and innovative “Cyber Jagriti Abhiyan” run by Chhattisgarh Police.
With the aim of keeping the people of the state safe and aware against cyber crime, Chhattisgarh Police is running a 7-week “Cyber Awareness Campaign” in the entire state from 15 August to 02 October 2026.
As per the schedule of the campaign, in the first week, a campaign is being run in schools and colleges for digital vigilance and basic security. In this series, today the students and interns of the Dental College were made aware by the police officers about new methods of cyber crimes, prevention of online fraud and basic cyber security.
During the program, the youth were connected with the main theme of this campaign “A Selfie of Cyber Jagruti”.
Students and interns were encouraged to take selfies in “selfie frames” with awareness messages by clicking on the link or scanning the QR Code issued by Chhattisgarh Police. The youth present also posted their selfies on their own social media handles, so that the message of cyber crime awareness could effectively reach their followers and friends.
This process is the main part of this campaign, the objective of which is to rapidly spread the message of awareness against cyber crime to as many people as possible through public participation.

In this program organized at the Dental College, police officers told that this comprehensive campaign has been launched by Honorable Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai ji and Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma ji. State Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam has also appealed to the people of the state that just as crores of countrymen fought unitedly for the country's independence, in the same way the state will have to come together for the “Cyber Jagruti Abhiyan” to make the state cyber safe. At the end of the program, all the students and interns of the college took a pledge to make Chhattisgarh cyber crime free by cooperating with the police.
