Veteran Pakistani actor, director and theatre artist Usman Peerzada has opened up about his autobiography and the possibility of a biopic based on his life.

Peerzada recently appeared on a television programme. During the interview, he spoke about his career, personal experiences and plans to document his life in a book.

The veteran artist was asked what the title of a film about his life could be. He responded humorously that his biopic would probably be censored first.

Peerzada said he is currently writing his autobiography. He admitted that deciding what to include in the book has been challenging.

He said his life has included many events and experiences. He is still deciding which incidents should become part of the final book.

Peerzada stressed that an autobiography should be truthful. He said important events should not be deliberately removed simply to make the book more comfortable or acceptable.

According to the actor, leaving out significant parts of his life could be unfair to readers. He believes that people who read his story deserve an honest account of his experiences.

Peerzada said the book is still being written. He explained that he regularly writes down things whenever memories or ideas come to his mind.

He said the autobiography is gradually taking shape. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project.

The actor also revealed that his children have encouraged him to complete the book. They believe his life story should be documented for his fans and readers.

Peerzada also expressed concern about the declining reading habit among people. He said many people now spend more time using computers and other forms of digital media.

He specifically referred to Generation Z. He said the younger generation has moved away from traditional reading to a significant extent.

Despite this, Peerzada believes his autobiography could have value beyond his own generation.

He said the book would cover a long period of his life. It would include numerous events and memories from different stages of his career.

Peerzada believes the autobiography could also serve as a record for future generations. He said the Pakistan he experienced during his early years was very different from the country today.

According to him, Pakistan during that period was dynamic, modern and culturally diverse. He feels that documenting those memories could help younger readers understand how society and the country have changed over the decades.
