Satyendar Jain Arrest: Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal alleged the direct hand of Union Home Minister Amit Shah behind the arrest of senior party leader and co-in-charge of Punjab Satyendar Jain. He asked Amit Shah why did you put pressure on ACB and get Satyendar Jain arrested? An ACB official said that till the morning ACB had no plans to arrest Satyendar Jain, but in the afternoon ACB got a direct call from Amit Shah asking him to arrest him, then he was arrested.

I got a direct call from Shah, arrest me.

Arvind Kejriwal said on X that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should explain why he put pressure on the investigating agency and got Satyendra Jain arrested? An ACB official said that till morning the ACB had no plans to arrest Satyendar Jain.

Then in the afternoon I got a direct call from Amit Shah asking me to arrest him. Then arrested. Obviously now arrests are made not on the basis of whether someone has committed a crime or not but on the basis of whom both of them want to arrest.

The arrest took place due to Shah’s pressure.

Arvind Kejriwal said that arrest is made when the police has to interrogate and investigate the person. The police did not even take custody of Satyendra Jain. This means no questioning of Satyendra. He has been arrested only because of pressure from Amit Shah.
