New Delhi. The National President of Congress is saddened by the lack of support from some leaders of his party. Indian Express newspaper report said that Kharge's pain was expressed in the Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi on Wednesday. The matter is of alleged 'purification' in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. According to the news, Mallikarjun Kharge said that he was saddened that many members of the Congress Working Committee did not openly speak in his support.

Actually, Mallikarjun Kharge had gone to Haldwani recently. The National President of Congress had held a rally there at Ramlila Maidan. After which some people performed purification yagya there. Kharge and Congress leaders alleged that the party's national president is a Dalit. For this reason a purification sacrifice was performed. Kharge had also raised this issue in Rajya Sabha. Whereas, those who performed the purification yagya had said that it was not a Dalit issue. Kharge had given statements against Sanatan and Hindu organizations. Due to which purification was done. Now Kharge has expressed his pain without taking the names of Congress leaders.

According to the news, in the Congress Working Committee meeting, Lok Sabha MP and General Secretary KC Venugopal said that Congress condemned the incident of purification and also made it an issue. Venugopal said that even while talking to the media, he called it unacceptable and condemnable. According to the news, Kharge also said that some Congress leaders give such statements and write articles which do not match the party line. There is a discussion going on in the party as to where Kharge was referring to. Let us tell you that there are reports of infighting among the inner leaders in Congress. Many times leaders give statements different from the party line. Kharge has been giving advice to such leaders earlier also. According to the newspaper, NSUI in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar in the Congress Working Committee said that the party should not leave space for organizations like the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
