Lucknow. 'Dharohar – The Longevity and Millets Fest' has started grandly at the Ministry of Cuisine (MOC) located at The Evian Lux Serenity in the capital Lucknow. This special millet food festival, which started from August 17, will continue till August 30, 2026. At the festival, guests are being given a unique experience of delicious and nutritious dishes prepared from millets and traditional grains. The festival is being organized every day from 7 pm onwards. Keeping in mind the changing lifestyle and increasing demand for health-conscious dining, dishes prepared from millets are being introduced with modern cooking techniques and attractive presentation.
Through the festival, an attempt has been made to bring together taste, health and the rich tradition of Indian food on one platform. The special dishes prepared by combining traditional grains with modern cooking techniques remain a center of attraction among the guests. Akash Singh Rathore, General Manager, The Evian Lux Serenity, said that 'Dharohar' is not just a food festival but an effort to celebrate traditional food heritage and healthy lifestyle. He said that millets and ancient grains have been an important part of Indian food culture and the objective of this event is to present them to the people with modern taste and presentation. Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Suneet Kumar Singh said that millets have been specially kept at the center in the menu of the festival.
Special attention has been paid to the balance of taste and modern presentation in dishes prepared from traditional grains, to give guests something new and memorable. Meanwhile, Executive Chef Gaurish Singh said that while preparing the dishes, the natural qualities of millets and traditional grains have been kept in mind. Using fresh ingredients, Indian spices and modern cooking techniques, dishes are being prepared which, while being delicious, also promote health-conscious dining.
The theme of 'Dharohar – The Longevity and Millets Fest' is “Ancient Grain. Modern Plate. A Story Worth Covering.” Has been laid. Under this, traditional grains are being presented in a new style on a modern plate. Through the festival, people are being introduced to the taste of millets along with their role in Indian food tradition and healthy lifestyle. The festival, organized at the Ministry of Cuisine (MOC), The Evian Lux Serenity, Lucknow, will continue till August 30.
