The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced recruitment for the post of Technician (1). Online applications for these vacancies opened on August 18. Eligible candidates seeking a government job can apply online until the deadline of 5:00 PM on September 17, 2026.

**Eligibility: 10th Pass + ITI**
To apply, candidates must have passed the SSC/10th standard and hold an ITI qualification in the relevant trade. Additionally, the maximum age limit is 28 years as of September 17, 2026; however, candidates belonging to reserved categories are granted age relaxation as per regulations.

**Candidates Exempt from Application Fees**
SC, ST, PH (Physically Handicapped), Ex-servicemen, and female candidates can apply for free. Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, or EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹500 online.

**Application Process**
To apply, visit the portal **recruitment.csir.res.in** and click on 'Apply Online'. First, register by providing the required details, then complete the form by entering the remaining information. Finally, pay the prescribed fee (if applicable based on category), submit the form, and take a printout for future reference.

**Selection Process and Salary**
The selection process begins with the shortlisting of candidates by a selection committee. Subsequently, candidates must appear for a trade test and an OMR-based Computer-Based Test (CBT). A final merit list will be released after the completion of all stages. Candidates appointed to the posts will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
