The matter became more shocking when investigation revealed that the principal was stabbed 27 times with a knife. Police have recovered Rs 1.51 lakh in cash and an iPhone from one of the accused.

School principal Roopa Reddy was alone in her house on August 11 and never returned home. He was murdered just after leaving the house. The most important clue in the investigation has been found by the police from his last phone call. Shortly before this incident, Roopa Reddy had talked to one of her aunties.

How was the phone call revealed?

Roopa Reddy was talking to her aunty on the phone. He reportedly said the word Babu for the last time on the phone and soon after that his phone got switched off. She usually used this word for students. For this reason, the police started investigating those people, including school students and staff, who knew about Roopa Reddy's daily routine.

How were the accused caught?

During investigation, the police came to know that after this incident, two class 10 students had suddenly started spending a lot of money. Suddenly he also started partying with his friends and that is why the police found his sudden change in behavior suspicious. According to Nalgonda SP Sharat Chandra Pawar, both the minors were detained on Wednesday morning on this basis. During interrogation and search, Rs 1.51 lakh and an iPhone were recovered from a student. The student initially claimed that the money was given to him by his parents, but forensic examination found traces of human blood on the cash.

Due to this greed, both of them allegedly planned the murder about five days ago. He arranged for gloves and knives and conducted recce of the area. According to the police, both of them had even checked the location of the CCTV cameras installed around the house, so that they would not be caught after the incident.
