Crystal Palace has signed United States youth international Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake, with the 19-year-old winger becoming the Major League Soccer club’s record outgoing transfer.

Gozo signed a five-year contract with Palace, with the transfer fee reported to be around 15 million Dollars. Real Salt Lake will also retain a significant percentage of any future transfer fee.

The Utah-born attacker becomes the first player from the US state to join a Premier League club. Palace, the reigning Conference League champion, begins its Premier League campaign away to Everton on Saturday and will compete in the Europa League this season.
