There was never a doubt that  could entertain on the cricket field but now he's proving he can be a laugh riot inside the studio too.

The 38-year-old, who retired from the game on July 30, left former India cricketers Ajay Jadeja and   in splits with his mimicry of former coach  . It was accurate and funny.

Bringing out the Inner Ravi Shastri

Rahane played most for his games when Shastri was Team India Head Coach, and he revealed how the 64-year-old would give speeches in the dressing room. For a moment, people could mistake him for Ravi Shastri himself just from the voice.

Brilliant Mimicry

"Guys, it's time. It's time. The game is on. Let them feel the heat. We are dominating. Just go out there and enjoy your game," he said in a video that went viral where he imitated Shastri's expressions brilliantly.

Their Legacies

Rahane called time on his career after not having played an international match since 2023. He is now trying out his hand in commentary and on the expert panel as India take on Sri Lanka in an ongoing Test series. Shastri, other than being a former coach and an esteemed commentator, was also an Indian player. Shastri played for India for most of the 1980s and a bit of the 1990s. He was part of the squad that won the 1983 ODI World Cup.

India's Domination

Coming back to the game, India won on Day 5 by 165 runs to lead the series 1-0. They cannot lose the series and will push for a whitewash when the 2nd Test begins on August 23. India have not lost their last 11 Tests vs Sri Lanka, have not lost a Test to them since 2015 and have won their last six on Sri Lankan soil, India's last Test series loss to them was in 2008.
