After the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's temple in Bihar, 'Modi Chalisa' was organized at the Press Club in New Delhi. This was claimed on many social media posts. In these videos viral on social media, some people are seen reciting 'Modi Chalisa'. There is a cutout of Prime Minister Modi on a small platform. In this he is shown like Lord Ram.
Journalists Shyam Meera Singh and Piyush Rai shared the video on their X account and wrote, 'Modi Chalisa' was organized today at Delhi Press Club.' Like him, many other journalists and social media influencers also shared the video of 'Modi Chalisa'. 'Lord Shri Narendra Modi Chalisa' is written on a poster behind the stage.
According to media reports, members of the transgender community including Dr. Rajan Singh and Mahamandaleshwar Vaibhavi Maharaj recited 'Shri Narendra Modi Chalisa' at the Press Club of India on Thursday, August 20.
Program put on hold: Press Club
After the matter came to light on social media, Press Club of India also said, 'Press Club of India has noticed that a photo/video of an event held in its premises today is circulating on social media. An organization had rented the hall to hold a press conference, but when the organization violated the conditions of renting the place, the club authorities immediately intervened and the program was stopped.
When was 'Modi Chalisa' in discussion?
This is not the first example of 'Modi Chalisa'. In the year 2008, poet Ramesh Mishra, who runs a mobile shop, also wrote 'Modi Chalisa'. After Lalu Prasad Yadav, Modi became the second leader of the country on whom Chalisa was written. Later, names of Sonia Gandhi and former UP CM Mayawati were also added to the Chalisa list.
According to the report of The Economic Times, apart from Chalisa, Ramesh Mishra had also written Modi Aarti and a Sanedo on Narendra Modi. Sanedo is a folk song praising love. Then Ramesh Mishra had compared Modi with Lord Ram. Although Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time.
A report of Dainik Jagran published in 2014 states that Prameel Kishore Aggarwal has written 'Narendra Modi Chalisa' and Aarti in Agra. BBC report published on 18 September 2015 said that BJP workers distributed 'Modi Chalisa' among the people in Varanasi. It was written by some BJP workers. The special thing about this Chalisa is that in it Prime Minister Narendra Modi was compared with Hanuman instead of Lord Ram.
In 2016, a Chalisa written on PM Modi went viral on social media. At that time the media also gave it a lot of coverage. Times of India also mentioned this 'Modi Chalisa' in one of its reports and told how fans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 66th birthday by sending 'Modi Chalisa' to each other.
'Modi Chalisa' is also available on music apps like Apple Music, Jio Saavn and Gaana. These Chalisa have been published by Dr. Sudesh Kumar Talheta. Sanjay Faizabadi's 'Modi Chalisa' is available on Amazon Music. Spotify and YouTube are also not untouched by this.
