Jitendra Yadav, son of Meenapur resident Awadhesh Yadav, told the police in his complaint that all the family members were sleeping outside the house on Wednesday night. At around 4:30 am on Thursday morning, when his sister-in-law opened the door of the house, she found the window in the roof broken. When I went inside I saw that the latches of two rooms had been cut. Silver jewelery and cash worth about Rs 10,000 kept in the cupboard were missing. Items were also scattered in the rooms.
The family members claim that the value of the stolen jewelery and other items is around Rs 40 lakh. However, the actual value of the stolen goods will be clear only after police investigation and verification.
Forensic team and dog squad collected evidence
As soon as the information about the theft was received, the police reached the spot and inspected the spot. Forensic team and dog squad were called and evidence was collected from the spot. Top police officials also inspected the spot and took information about the incident. ACP Mohanlalganj Rajesh Kumar Singh, despite being on leave, reached the spot and instructed the police team to quickly reveal the incident.

ACP Rajesh Kumar Singh said that as soon as the information was received, the police team was sent to the spot. Evidence has been collected with the help of forensic team and dog squad. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is being scrutinized. Information about stolen jewelery and other items is being taken from the victim's family. Several police teams have been deployed to uncover the incident. On the basis of evidence, the thieves will be identified and arrested soon.
Villagers raised questions on outpost police patrolling
After the incident, villagers have raised questions on the patrolling and monitoring system of Sisendi outpost police. Villagers say that police patrolling and surveillance should be increased at night to curb incidents of theft in the area. Due to such a big theft incident, security concerns have increased among the villagers. The villagers have demanded the police to immediately arrest the thieves and recover the stolen goods. At present, the police is searching for the thieves on the basis of CCTV footage and evidence found from the spot.
