The couple officially became husband and wife following a ceremony at their home in Cascais on Aug. 11. However, this low-key wedding is not the only thing that they planned for their marriage.
Speaking to VogueRodriguez, 32, revealed that they are planning a much larger wedding, which will be attended by a bigger circle of family and friends. The couple have not announced a specific date or venue for the upcoming ceremony.
The first wedding took place right in the living room of the family’s US$70 million luxury villa, rather than at a grand castle, hotel or lavish resort.

Rodriguez explained that she and Ronaldo chose this location because it is central to their family’s daily life. It is the place where they share meals and spend quality time with their children.
“In 30 years, I want our children to think: something beautiful happened here, at this table, our parents exchanged their wedding vows,” she told Vogue.
All five of the couple’s children were present at the emotional ceremony: Cristiano Jr. (16 years old), twins Eva Maria and Mateo (9), Alana (8) and Bella (4).
The wedding coincided with the 10th anniversary of the couple’s first meeting, which originally took place at a Gucci store in Madrid.
For Rodriguez, this intimate style of wedding was actually far removed from her original childhood dreams. She had once imagined marrying in a grand castle, arriving in a traditional carriage and wearing a long wedding dress with a diamond-studded tiara.
However, after years of living in the public eye and affluence, the Argentine-Spanish influencer and entrepreneur desired an intimate ceremony with only her partner and children.
“Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars, we have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate – that’s more unusual for us,” she added.
Rodriguez described the first wedding ceremony as exactly what she had truly hoped for and admitted she couldn’t hold back the tears during the ceremony.
This second wedding cannot take place immediately, however. After getting married, the busy couple traveled back to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, so the 41-year-old football star could prepare for the new Saudi Pro League season with Al-Nassr. They did not even have time for a honeymoon.
Ronaldo remains highly romantic when speaking about life after the wedding, as he said every day is a honeymoon, according to Hello.
After a decade together and building a family, getting married has reportedly not changed the couple’s daily lives too much, although Ronaldo openly admits that marriage does bring a different feeling, as it took their relationship to another level.
