Portugal 'Burqa Law' : A big decision has been taken regarding burqa in the European country Portugal. Burqa law has been implemented in the country. Portuguese President Antonio Jose Seguro has approved this law. According to reports, now under this law, hiding the face in public places has been banned in Portugal. Mainly through this, Muslim women in Portugal will be stopped from wearing the niqab which covers the entire face.

The Burqa Law was brought under pressure from right-wing parties. Here, President Antonio José Seguro has said in a statement that the face should be considered an important part of human identity and communication with each other.
'Burqa Law'
According to reports, the final form of this law has been described by local media as “Burqa Law”. Actually, some Muslim women wear burqa to cover their body and face. That is why this law is being named Burqa Law. This law was approved by the Parliament in July. It was supported by right-wing government parties and MPs from hard-right parties, while left parties voted against it.
According to the law, there is a ban on wearing such clothes in public places which hide the face or make it difficult to identify a person. Additionally, it would also be a crime to force a person to cover their face because of their sex, religion, age or origin.
In Portugal, those who violate this law can be fined between 150 and 3,000 euros.
