Kia Sorento: Production of Kia Sorento Hybrid begins in Anantapur; Soon to be launched in the Indian market

Kia India has officially started production of its upcoming flagship three-row premium SUV 'Kia Sorento' at its plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This car will be launched in the Indian market on September 4, 2026, and before the launch, the company has released the first official photos of this car. Also, pre-booking of this car has also started through Kia's official dealerships and website.

Powerful engine options and all-wheel drive system

This new premium car will be offered in both petrol/hybrid and diesel engine options. Interestingly, Kia will be the first hybrid SUV in India to come with an all-wheel drive system. As this car is manufactured in India, this premium SUV is likely to be launched at a very competitive and attractive price for the customers. In terms of design, it features Kia's famous 'tiger nose' front grille, distinctive lighting elements and a sleek profile.

For the first time globally AI Inclusion of assistive technology

The cabin of this car has been given a more luxury and premium look, and it will get 'AI Assistant' feature based on 'Live Generative AI'. India has become the first country to get this cutting-edge technology globally in Kia's Sorento model. The system is more advanced than the usual voice commands and is able to answer the daily questions of the driver and passengers with real-time information.
