Bengaluru, 21 August 2026: A serious road accident has come to light in Chitradurga, Karnataka, in which a tourist bus carrying students to Goa lost control and overturned. In this accident, three nursing students have died and many other students have been injured.
According to reports, the accident occurred at around 10:30 pm; A total of 49 students, two members of the teaching staff and one member of the non-teaching staff were traveling in the bus. Most of the passengers were sleeping at the time of the accident. Local residents rushed to the spot, broke the doors of the bus and took out the injured.
A student said that we all were going to Goa. Suddenly we realized that there was a disturbance with something and everyone started screaming. Some people came there, broke the doors of the bus and helped us get out.
