Having conceded a lead of 238 runs on the basis of the first innings, Pakistan were rocked early by English pacers, with Jofra Archer taking two wickets inside four overs.

Abdullah Shafique, the top scorer for his team on Day 1, managed 29-ball 15 before Ollie Robinson sent him back.
