Tezzbuzz Desk- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions on the central government regarding India's per capita income. He claimed that at present India's per capita income has become less than that of Bangladesh.
Kejriwal released a video on social media on Friday and said that India's annual per capita income is around $2,800, while Bangladesh's income is around $2,900. Raising questions on the economic policies of the Central Government, he said that it was promised to make the country the largest economic power in the world, but today India is being said to be behind Bangladesh in this matter.
Kejriwal said India's per capita income in 2014 was around $1,600, while Bangladesh's income was around $1,100. According to him, at that time India was far ahead of Bangladesh, but now the situation has changed.
He said that the countrymen were hopeful that India would leave behind the big economies of the world in terms of economic development. Instead, as per his claim, India's per capita income has become less than that of Bangladesh.
Example of America and Switzerland also given
Kejriwal also compared India with countries like America, Switzerland and Singapore. He claimed that the per capita income of Switzerland is around 1.15 lakh dollars, that of Singapore is 99 thousand dollars and that of America is 90 thousand dollars.
Citing these figures, Kejriwal questioned the Central Government as to why there was no expected improvement in India's economic condition and per capita income in the last 12 years.
