What are the eligibility criteria?
To avail the subsidy under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, you must meet certain conditions, such as:
The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
A valid electricity connection for the house is mandatory.
The roof of the house must be sturdy and in good condition for solar panel installation.
You should not already be availing benefits from any other solar scheme.
Please note that this government scheme applies only to residential homes.
Who will not receive the subsidy?
The following categories of people are not eligible for the subsidy under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana:
Solar panels installed at factories or industrial sites do not qualify for the scheme.
Subsidies are not available for commercial buildings such as shops, business premises, and offices.
Solar panels installed on government offices or other government buildings are also ineligible for the subsidy.
