New Delhi: Delhi Police has finally registered an FIR in the pellet gun case. The police took action after Rahul Gandhi sat on a dharna outside the Parliament Street police station on Friday. It is being told that FIR has been registered against unknown people. At that time, many Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were sitting on a dharna with the victim student outside the police station.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi had clearly said that he would not leave the police station until an FIR was registered. Rahul first went to Mandir Marg police station with 19-year-old Sahil Lochab, then reached Parliament Street police station and met DCP Sachin Sharma of New Delhi district.
Rahul alleges that the police officers told him that there is an order from above so FIR cannot be registered. When talks with DCP Sharma yielded no results, Rahul sat on strike inside the police station. The victim Sahil and his mother were also present with him.
Later, many senior Congress leaders including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also joined the protest. During this, Rahul also targeted Home Minister Amit Shah and said that he is afraid of justice. Congress workers also demonstrated near Le Meridien and raised slogans in support of Rahul.
My eyesight is still not clear – says pellet gun victim
Victim Sahil Lochab narrated his ordeal at Parliament Street police station. He said, on July 20, I was fired upon with a pellet gun. First I was taken to Lady Hardinge Hospital, then from there I was referred to AIIMS. I have undergone surgery in AIIMS but my eyesight is still not clear. On August 14, I had given a 7-page written complaint through my lawyer, but since then the FIR had not been registered.
